WX Acquires Jamieson Ranch Vineyards, Bread & Butter Brand

The transaction moves WX Brands – formerly known as Winery Exchange — into the top 20 U.S. wine producers.  The company has been focused on private-label production.

WX said it plans to expand Bread & Butter – known for its California chardonnay and pinot noir — distribution across the U.S.

Produced by Napa Valley winery Fior di Sole, Bread & Butter has become one of the Top 30 Super Premium brands in the US in just three years.   “This is one of the hottest brands in the wine industry,” commented Oren Lewin, WX SVP of Marketing & Strategy. “Bread & Butter grew over 70% in 2016 – it has really struck a chord with consumers.”

Jamieson Ranch Vineyards is located on a historic land grant in Napa that dates back to 1850. This family of wines includes the award-winning brands Double Lariat, Reata, Whiplash and Light Horse.

“The quality of the Jamieson Ranch wines is incredible,” continued Lewin. “Just look at the scores on their Double Lariat Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon: three straight years over 90 points from publications like Wine Enthusiast and Wine Advocate.”

In addition to Bread & Butter and the Jamieson Ranch Vineyards portfolio, WX also owns Chronic Cellars, an up-and-coming winery from Paso Robles, CA, and Our Daily Wines, the leading brand of preservative-free wines. Additionally, the company makes over 80 exclusive wine, beer and spirit brands for key retailers in the US and around the world.
