What We’re Reading: Peoria Aims To Revitalize Its Old Town, Using Distillery As Flagship

It worked in Brooklyn.  When Brooklyn Brewery opened up, it’s neighborhood was a dangerous place.  Now, thanks to the brewery attracting other food and beverage enterprises, it’s become upscale.  So upscale that the brewery that started it all is moving to the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

If it worked in Brooklyn, it just might work in Old Town Peoria, Ariz.  Officials there are hoping Lucidi Distilling Co., which opened in the city’s old fire station a few months ago, will help spur more development in the area.  Read more here, from KJZZ.
