Vision Wine to Rep South Africa’s Glen Carlou Winery

Vision Wine & Spirits, a division of Martignetti Cos., agreed to serve as South African Winery Glen Carlou’s exclusive USA importer.

Glen Carlou is located in the foothills of the Simonsberg Mountains in the Paarl region in the Western Cape.  The winery was founded in 1985 by one of South Africa’s most awarded winemakers, Walter Finlayson, who recognized the potential of the property to produce exceptional wines.  The winery later came under control of Donald Hess in 2003 and by its current ownership, The Pactolus Consortium, in 2016.

Glen Carlou has some of the oldest Chardonnay vines in South Africa and its U.S. portfolio currently includes its flagship wine Classic Chardonnay (750ml SRP $17) and Quartz Stone Chardonnay (750ml SRP $30).

It is rounded out with a Bordeaux blend “Grand Classique” (750ml SRP $20) and “Gravel Quarry” Cabernet Sauvignon (750ml SRP $45).  In addition, Vision Wine & Spirits will import Glen Carlou’s Classic Cabernet Sauvignon (750ml SRP $17) to complement the Classic Chardonnay.

“We are very excited to add Glen Carlou to our wine portfolio.  This prestigious New World estate is a wonderful complement to our largely Old World fine wine offerings,” commented Vision Wine & Spirits President D. Dean Williams.
