Beer Institute Sees Shipments Slide Again in June

The June 2022 estimate is 16,000,000 barrels, a decrease of 3.3% compared to June 2021 removals of 16,540,652, Beer Institute reports.  Year-to-date through June, tax-paid shipments are down 3.7% to 82.9 million barrels from 86.070,760 barrels.

Beer’s Continuing Slide Will End. But When?

Beer Institute estimates U.S. brewers shipped 14.6 million barrels in May, down 2.2% from the 14,926,000 barrels shipped a year earlier.  Year todate, beer shipments are down 3.3% from a year earlier.

Beer Imports Grew 3.7% in April from 2021

That’s pretty good, says Danelle Kosmal, vp-research, Beer Institute, considering its compared to tougher comps from a year earlier.  Mexican brands remained the key growth driver for the category.  Domestic estimated shipments were down 5.9% in April.

Beer Imports Jump 16.7% in March
