Rahr & Sons Brewing Enters Kansas, Nebraska

Beers from the Fort Worth brewery, one of the larger Texas craft brewers, are available in Kansas now and will be available in Nebraska in early August.  Its beers are also distributed in Oklahoma as well as, of course, Texas.

Beers to be initially released in both states include Rahr’s Blonde Helles Lager; Dadgum IPA; Ugly Pug Schwarzbier; Bucking Bock German-style Spring Bock; Oktoberfest Marzen Lager; and Mr. Wiggles Double Dank IPA. Beers will be available for purchase in cans and on draft at local stores, restaurants and bars. Other beers will be released seasonally throughout the year.

Since opening in the fall of 2004, owners Fritz & Erin Rahr have exponentially increased Rahr & Sons’ brewing capacity from 2,000 barrels a year to more than 20,000 barrels a year. Rahr & Sons started the craft beer movement of North Texas and has gone on to win more than 80 national and international awards.

“Rahr & Sons is proud to be an independent craft brewery focused on making great beer,” said Fritz Rahr. “We are excited to break into these new markets and get to know the many craft beer fans in Kansas and Nebraska.”
