National Bohemian Seeks to Return to Baltimore Stadium

National Bohemian Beer hasn’t been brewed in Baltimore for decades, but it’s still considered by many to be a Baltimore beer.

So when the Baltimore Orioles threw it out of Camden Yards, the Orioles’ home park, it created a bit of a stir.  Now a “Boh-pen letter to Baltimore baseball fans,” in the Baltimore Sun, urges the beer to be returned to the park.

“Could our hometown team deny our shared heritage, our history, and our loyal fans?” reads the letter, written from the perspective of Mr. Boh, the Natty Boh mascot. “I wasn’t sure how to respond at first. I mean, after all, what’s a mascot to say?”

Natty Boh was served at Camden Yards, but disappeared this year after the Orioles sent a letter to Pabst Brewing Co., which owns Natty Boh, demanding it cease and desist from using Orioles logos and likenesses without the team’s permission.

The Orioles assert they are committed to selling Baltimore craft beers, including Heavy Seas, Flying Dog and Union Craft.
