Maiden + Liberty Intros a Cabernet Sauvignon

Maiden + Liberty, Long Island, N.Y., winemakers, added a 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon to its red and white French-American blends.

It’s aged in stainless steel with oak chips and made from 85% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and 15% Syrah grapes, and is said to present intense dark fruit flavours of blackberry and blackcurrant with a note of violet, the wine produces a unique combination of flavour intensity and freshness – typical of the altitude at which it was grown on the hills north of Montpellier, France.

The bottles retail between $15 and $25 and are also available in select retail locations throughout the Tri-State area, and included in restaurant/bar wine lists from White Plains to Manhasset. For a full list of retail locations and restaurants visit here.

The company will be donating wine to Tuesday’s Children auction for their Rise Up Downtown Gala taking place on tomorrow (9/14). The annual event raises money to support families impacted by terrorism and traumatic loss worldwide. It will also be donating a case of wine for the auction at the Manhasset Coalition Against Breast Cancer Ladies Night Out event being held Oct. 18.
