Gloria Ferrer Seeks ‘Most Glorious Appetizer’ Recipe

Gloria Ferrer Caves & Vineyards is willing to pay $5,000 to get the nation’s most glorious appetizer recipe to pair with its Gloria Ferrer Sonoma Brut.

Starting Aug. 15, budding home cooks age 21 and over are encouraged to channel their inner-foodie and submit their signature appetizer recipe for the 3rd annual nationwide Glorious Bites Challenge. Each recipe entered will be reviewed by a panel of wine and food experts based on originality, perceived taste appeal and perceived ability to pair with the award-winning Gloria Ferrer Sonoma Brut.  Official rules, entry deadlines and more can be found at www.gloriousbites.com.

Last year, Chera Little of Leander, Texas, beat out over 1,800 entries to take home the grand prize for her recipe for Miso-Maple Glazed Cod Wonton-Cho’s with Crispy Bok Choy Slaw.

This year, 12 semi-finalists will be chosen from all entrants to participate in three live cook-off events scheduled around the country that will culminate in the Glorious Bites Challenge Finals at Gloria Ferrer Winery in Sonoma, California. Tickets for all events are available now.

Events include plenty of cookoff excitement, special guests, delicious Gloria Ferrer wines, savory bites and a cooking demonstration by Keynote Judge and Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Co. Executive Chef Jennifer Luttrell.
