Gallo Paid $180 Million for 130-Acre Stagecoach Vineyard

That’s what the Napa Valley Register found when it looked at the deed.

That’s almost $140,000 per acre, or $300,000 per acre for the 600 planted acres. Reportedly, Gallo also paid Dr. Jan Krupp an undisclosed additional sum for good will and the Stagecoach name.

What’s Krupp doing with the money?  Buying a winery and two tasting rooms in Napa, Calif.  Krupp Brothers Winery has been using a custom winery for production.
