The news from Northern California, where wildfires are raging, is just awful. Among the wineries destroyed: Helena View Johnston Vineyards, Segassia Vineyard, Signorello Estate Vineyards, VinRoc, White Rock Vineyards, Ancient Oak Cellars, Paradise Ridge Winery, Frey Vineyards Roy Estate, Patland Vineyards, and Oster Wine Cellars.
Others have suffered significant damage. Experts say much of the crop that remains on the vines – perhaps as much as 30% — will have suffered extensive smoke damage and may be undrinkable.
