Brown-Forman Celebrates 70 Years of Barrel Making

Brown-Forman is celebrating 70 years of barrel making in a ceremony Wednesday (2/10) morning.

Founded in 1945, the Brown-Forman Cooperage is the oldest continuously operating new barrel whiskey cooperage in the world.  It’s where barrels are hand-crafted for aging of spirits such as Jack Daniel’s, Woodford Reserve, Old Forester, Early Times, Canadian Mist, el Jimador and Herradura.

We interviewed Chris Morris, Brown-Forman’s master distiller and spirits historian, about the importance of the Cooperage to Brown-Forman. You can here the unedited interview here.
